Bring a camera!! I will be bringing my Nikon D7000 and my Pocket Dolly. If you want to use my pocket dolly please bring a tripod with a flat head and a head to go on top of the dolly.

  1. Great to see you all. Mr Bloom himself. It is a great honor to have you here on the continent. Thanks. What is your program during that day ? Is there more ? Is there a possiblity to follow a quick course or a more extended course during that weekend ? Or is it just only fore the fun ????
Here a link what I am doing with the gear.

  2. Hi, Kirk Gillon here… wish I could be there… I made Lisbon, Portugal my home for 13 years from 1991-2003… if I was still there it would definitely be something I would attend! I miss the film making in Europe! Enjoy and tell us all about it!

  3. Hope I can make it.

    So Philip,
What new toys are you bringing with you?
and dont forget your thermal underwear, Its minus 5 here at the moment.

  4. Awesome! I only need to travel 15 minutes by metro to meet Philip. =) That is what I call room service!

Is that the trend for the coming years? Keep it up, I’ll be there with:

    5D mark II
    Glidecam HD-4000
    24-70 F2.8
    17-40 F4.0
    Zoom H4n
    Sennheiser EW 122P G3-B with ME-4 microphone

Ps. I do think it is interesting to see what people bring with them, maybe something for the opening post?

  5. It looks like I’ll be there, but I don’t have a video-capable dSLR yet so I’ll be bringing my EX1. Philip, could you bring your NanoFlash? I’m seriously considering getting one but I’d like to experience it from up close first as it’s quite an investment.

  6. Hi Everyone,

During the interview with Philip yesterday, a lot of cameras were recording extra b-roll footage. Would you please submit the raw footage to me so I can use it in the edit? Please use to send me the files (upto 2GB per transfer). Please use richard[at] as e-mail.

    Thanks much.
