First stop Chicago to film a new filmfellas. Should be a good one. There is me, District 9 DP Trent Opaloch and Robert Primes, ASC.
Then without a chance to catch my breath am off to WEVA in Orlando with Den Lennie for our F-Stop Academy. Den and I are doing a couple of short seminars and we will also have a booth at the exhibition, so pop along and say hi if you are around. I will be talking about convergence and shooting with the 5dmkII. I will of course also talk about the 7d which I will have with me.
Den and I have a session on film look on Monday then my convergence presentation is at 8am (!) on Wednesday. Hope to see some old and new faces there!
Orlando will also mark the debut of Joseph Stunzi working for the F-Stop Academy. He will be doing BTS and helping us man the stand. Be great to see him again, last time I saw him was at NAB.
We will also be selling my first ever training DVD covering Cinematography with the 5dmkII. A WEVA exclusive.
I won’t be doing any hands on shooting training, for that you need to come to RE:Frame in October in SF.

I interviewed Bob Primes for a documentary I shot on the WGA strike last year. He is an amazing guy and taught me a great deal about being a DP in the short time I got to spend with him. So he will be a part of this Filmfellas?
When will the 5d mark II training dvd be available in blighty?
Have a great trip flying the flag for F-Stop. I look forward to that FilmFellas episode, it sounds a really interesting cast. Ironically, I was watching an old Zacuto video last night and on it was one Joseph Stunzi – small world.

Phillip, if your in the Orlando area, you should stop by Full Sail University. I am a current student there. If you can’t make it this time around, next time. It’d be cool if you could give a guest lecture there. Something to think about.
