How to Enter:
To enter, all you need to do is submit a film that you’ve made and graded with FilmConvert.
If you’ve downloaded this Entry Pack before September 27 (before submissions are open), on September 27 we’ll email you a direct link to enter your film. If you’ve downloaded this pack while submissions are open, your link will be included in your email.
This link will take you to your entry form where you can can tell us more about yourself and your film. You will also be asked to link to your film via a Vimeo or Youtube link. We have to approve all films before they can be displayed on the website.
There are 6 categories to enter your film into:
- Creative
- Storytelling
- Music
- Action
- Documentary
- Commercial
- Wedding
There are a total of 7 prizes. Our 6 judges will pick a winner for each of the 6 categories. The 7th prize is a People’s Choice award that is picked by the FilmConvert community. Information about all prizes can be found on the website: filmconvert.com/competition
You’re able to enter more than once, but each submission can only be entered into one category at a time.
Terms & Conditions of Entry
Process a video using any FilmConvert software – either the full version or trial version.
You must include the word ‘FilmConvert’ in either the video title or description.
Upload your video to Youtube or Vimeo. The competition is FREE to enter.
The film can be made at any time – it does not need to be made during the competition timeframe.
Please choose the correct category when submitting your film to our competition.
Once entries close on October 17, when the FilmConvert team will pick a short list of films.
This list will be released to the public & the Judges to choose the winners.
There will be 1 winner per category
(Action, Commercial, Weddings, Music Video, Documentary, Creative Storytelling) + 1 People’s Choice winner.
The People’s Choice winner will be chosen from the short list by the FilmConvert community. The person with the most votes at the end of the voting period (14 November) will win this prize. Only votes on our website (filmconvert.com) will be counted.
The winners of each category will be chosen from the shortlist by our judges. They have the final say.
Submissions close October 17 2016.
Each film may only be entered into a single category.
You can enter more than one film.
Video length should be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Longer videos may be submitted, but excess footage will be ignored.
You may not submit footage entered in any previous FilmConvert competition.
You need to own the copyright to your footage or have written permission to use it.
You retain all rights to your video and footage.
You grant FilmConvert the right to use the footage for marketing purposes, e.g. we will embed the competition winners on our
website, use still frames as examples, share to our community across social media, newsletters etc.
All finalists in the top 50 must provide a downloadable version of their film to FilmConvert before voting opens on October 24.
Submitted material must not contain obscene, unlawful or objectionable material.
We reserve the right to refuse or remove any entry at our own discretion.
Entries from FilmConvert staff, family, or associates will not be accepted.
We can recategorize your film if needed. Our decisions are final, no discussions ?
