Bloom Forum

I get asked so many questions and many of them are very similar so I thought it made sense to start a forum so these discussion are there for everyone to benefit from.

I will obviously become more useful the more people post on it. I will try it for 2 months to see if it is worth doing!

I am sorry for the ads but it is a free site and my brain couldn’t cope with setting up all the code myself. This site does a pretty good job and makes it easy to run. Thanks to Jacob for being my first member. The first 20 members get special rankings of their choice. PM me your choice!

  1. Hello Philip

    Do you know if anything like the firestore for the HVX will or is available for the EX1, my 2 8gb cards are just to small. Also do you know when Sandisk will be selling really cheap 32gb cards, im a gb eating monster and im hungry

  2. Hi Philip

    Thanks for getting back so quick! so im sure you know all about the fuss o taking out one card to download on a laptop and lugging it ll around?
    Love the shots from your south bank film, sweet ho won earth did you get the soft focus on the sides (at around 01.30, guy running up steps) very nice…….

  3. First of all, thanks for all of the good information. Second, any suggestions for a follow focus rig to use with EX1, Letus Extreme and Canon lenses (EF and FD)? Third, can you contact me personally? I have a potential gig for you in the US.

  4. like mr. michael ramsey, i was also wondering if you had some hot tips on good lenses.
    i personally am looking for a good zoom lens, but cant seem to find one that meets the following criterion:
    * little to no breathing during focus adjustment
    * f-stop ring!
    tons of lenses have one or the other of these characteristics but never both! what the deal? do you ever use any zoom lenses? if so, which ones? (any mount works for me)

  5. check out the forum. There is a whole topic on lenses.

    I have not come across a still lens that has no breathing. You want that then you need to get a PL mount and film lenses am afraid!
