Competition is now closed!
I will sift through the many thousands of entries and select all the ones that have passed, then work out a way I can randomly select the winners and once I have done that I will do a live draw. It will be asap. I promise!
Thanks to everyone who entered. As you can see the competition ended a lot quicker than planned, about 2 weeks quicker due to the 10 million mark being reached a lot fast than expected due to you lot searching my site for answers!
In about 3 weeks I will reach the 10 million visitors to my website. Rather than try and award that 10 millionth visitor with prizes as it will just crash my server I have decided to create a quiz based around my blog. If you get most of them right you will be entered into a random draw where the people drawn will be awarded a prize each.
These are the prizes currently on offer. I pulled in all my favours to get these prizes for you guys…if you win them use them well and share with me your results!! Am jealous as I want some of them!
This is an AMAZING PRIZE!!! A KESSLER CRANE CINESLIDER worth $1000 (winner pays costs of shipping)
This is simply the best slider on the market for the price, especially as you can use it with the Elektra Drive system motor and Oracle controller for motion controlled moves and timelapses.
Zacuto are giving away a TARGET SHOOTER worth $475! I love this as it’s the new version the Rapid Fire. My previous favourite DSLR rig.
GoPro Cameras are giving away a motorsports hero pack worth $299! These are simply awesome cameras. Waterproof, shoot full HD and are tiny! I have four and use them all the time. I can’t wait until their 3D rig comes out!
Letus Direct, makers of the 35mm adaptor the Letus Extreme which started my blog off are giving away two different DSLR accessories. Their new DSLR view finder and their new DSLR Cage! The VF is worth around $385 and the cage $700!!
Red Giant Software, makers of the AWESOME Magic Bullet Looks (20% with code bloom20 at checkout!) are giving away FOUR prizes!! Magic Bullet looks changed the way I graded enormously. It is simply the best investment out there for grading and it works across all the major editing platforms.
Switronix have donated two remote triggers for DSLRs, great things these. Thanks guys!
Litepanels have donated the excellent on camera LED the Litepanel Micro
David Aldrich of D-Focus has donated one of his excellent low budget follow focuses.
My video hosting service of choice have donated 2 Vimeo Plus memberships for a year!
I will be doing a two day intensive DSLR workshop as part of the Westdoc Conference in September in Santa Monica. It’s going to be an amazing conference. Chuck Braverman, one of the organisers of the conference has donated a 3 day pass (my workshop is extra) which is worth $700!! Big thanks Chuck.
Chris Jones has geneoursly donated his Guerilla Filmmaking booker. This from Chris: ‘The Guerilla Film Makers Handbook team are delighted to provide the complete Guerilla Film Makers library, including then new Guerilla Film Makers Pocketbook which features in an interview with Philip. For more info on the books and the new weekly film makers TV show, The Production Office, go to our blog at www.chrisjonesblog.com
‘More prizes will be announced soon…but in the meantime for a chance to win one of them answer the quiz below. All the answers are in my blog!! Good luck and thanks for making my blog so much fun to keep going!
I will do a live video streaming announcement of winners when the 10 million is reached, until then the competition is open!

Can’t wait! Let the quizzes begin. I’m ready mate! Let’s do it…I need a slider in my life. Ha!
The last time I was so pissed was when Bush got elected. I mean when they made him a president. He was not elected. Your dad’s name was impossible to find.
Best Regards from Sin City Las Vegas
did you try typing in “dad” into the search box??? 🙂
Nope its not that easy… I knew I saw it somewhere forgot. Later I found it though. 🙂
Sweet I’m in!
LOL:D..I got asked a question and think, I answered it correctly:
“The question does not exist for the quiz”
and now?…nothing…the quiz disappeared *thumbsup*
cheers
try again, had to make changes
What’s the ‘ID’ field in the quiz all about?
your quiz ID
Hm.. How do I get one? Do I just make it up?
just make it up!
Ah, ok. Thanks Phil 🙂
Quiz crashed!
Do I get another go? :p
is there something wrong with the quiz? mine reads
Error 503 Service Unavailable
Service Unavailable
Crap I was 5-6 questions into it and it blew up. now it says Error 503 Service Unavailable….bummer
the quiz disappeared. what now?
same thing happened to me…guess I’ll try again in Firefox instead of IE.
Thorsten Kuttig – LOL:D..I got asked a question and think, I answered it correctly:
“The question does not exist for the quiz”
and now?…nothing…the quiz disappeared *thumbsup*
cheers
Boo… Only got 15 right! I thought I knew you better!
Yay I passed, at least i think that was the goal.
I got 89% right-17 out of 19 🙂 That should qualify for something free i think 😉
I got 16 out of 19. Are we allowed to re-do the quiz, Phil?
Oh, and I got a little scared when I found out how much I know about you.
Wow you really threw some tough ones in there!
Yeah! I got a certificate! And i even got the “timelpase” question right 😉 … What do i do now? Am i already in the big random draw or should i print the certificate and send it to you … with a signature from my parents for sure!
It was fun searching through your blog… but really tough questions! Congratulations for the 10th million to come…
Greetings from Germany,
Sebastian
Damn, just failed, missed the pass threshold by 1.56% 😉
Whoo, 100%! After like 15 entries though… hope that’s not an issue.
Ouch!!! 1 hr and 5 minutes result: 9 out of 19 correct…. this hurts badly. Glad I still have my D300s 😉
Wow, i just spent way more time on that than i should have. the quiz crashed my browser three times.
#19 was tough for me. I started reading your blog only around the time you got your 5D. Sent here from Vimeo via your Return to Dungeness short which was captivating. Fun quiz! Got 16 out of 19 (pass!) after one try. Hope I win something, I’ve never won anything in my life out of a draw!
I got 100% but seems to be too late 🙁
thats impressive!
Thanks… Do I win anything?
Very careful research to find some answers and weird deductions. It was kind of
a fun game, very tough though, your blog search bar was a Saviour. Even though some answers weren’t on here quite directly…
you may win if your name gets drawn! well done
Sorry I meant about the first person to get 100% and some special surprise?..
Since it was my first attempt from this email. I guess I would have won
if you only could take the quiz once :P. Wish id seen earlier.
Its fine, this contest is still amazing.. Thanks for putting it on.
you were not the first am afraid.
Yeah Gord Stephen got it I just saw on twitter. I wasn’t sure whether it counted before.
I am happy at least it was gotten by a fellow Canuck! see u at Profusion!
I am looking forward to it.
16 out of 19 right – don’t worry, I don’t stalk! haha – I’m only a recent ‘follower’ and I had to do some intense searching on here, but all the info’s available!
Thank Phil that was fun “In a stalker sorta way”
Here is my score
Score » 53 out of 100
Answered Correctly » 10 out of 19 correct
12 out of 19: No prize for me, but there is some comfort in knowing that I’m not a stalker…or am I…?
Is it one entry per person or whats the deal with that?
How will you figure that out couldn’t you just keep taking the quiz over and over, same questions and get multiple entries?
one entry per email.
Woohoo! Passed first try! Not 100% though >.<
nice!
The quiz times out if you try and take it on the embed , try doing it on the site itself by clicking the link and it works then.
79/100. Not sure what I got wrong tho 😛
Does a “pass” mean we’re qualified for the drawing? I got a 79%, which i pretty much expected. A few of those were tough! Number 10? I had no clue who that was or how that answer was supposed to be located. Oh well!
number 10? if you follow me on twitter at all or watch my video blogs you will know! it’s a running gag…
i do and i do (although not a huge twitter user). for whatever reason, i’ve missed it!
First time ’round: 17 out of 19 correct. Just can’t get to those two answers right 😛
Wow, after reading your blog for over a year now I thought i know everything about you:P … got just one question wrong^^
By the way, thank you for all the helpful information on your blog;)
The quiz crashed – am I allowed to do it again?
yep
Haha I wish WIkipedia had a real entry for you. The other Phillip Bloom sounds like a hardcore mafia dude.
you are welcome to start one! 😉
Did the minimum pass percentage get bumped up to 80%?!
yep! had to make it more of a challenge! 😉
What about those of us who passed before the bump? 😛
Bloody hell that was hard and failed! I guess that is not a bad thing I don’t know too much about you otherwise I might be a little sad! 🙂
Hey I already got my passing certificate! Now it’s 80%. So what do I get a do over or am I SOL? Sneaky fellow this Philip Bloom.
i am just pushing you to do harder Roman!!
Alrightty I got an 84! I still got 3 wrong, kinda have an idea which they are I think, but I’m not going to do it again. Good luck to the rest of you and major props to you Phil for doing all this.
Hi Philip!
Do we need to send the certificate to you? After crashing 3 times I finally got 17 of 19! 🙂
well done. i have access to emails of all who passed
just passed 🙂 84 out of 100… still don’t know everything 🙂
Philip Blooms $10 million giveaway! Did 17 out of 19. Had to try two times though only took me couple of mins. Seems all those hours I’ve spent on your site might pay off, after all 😉
Hmm now how do I generate 743000 site visits in a day so I increase my chances MUHA HA HA **deep, booming evil galactic emperor laugh**
I was in the middle of taking this, and I got “the question does not exist” when I answered.
I’ll be d@mned if I can figure out when you used the Brevis for the inspiration for the “people” series, also. :-/
look at 35mm adaptor films, look for one done with brevis and bob’s your uncle
Got through 8 questions then it crashed… Reloaded the page and it said I got 5 right out of 20…
Safari seems to not like the quiz. 🙁
I’ll try again later!
I got 10%, is there a booby prize?
Damn, it crashed and says “The question does not exist for the quiz.”
grrrr
I quite enjoyed that little quiz! 🙂
Cheers,
Sander
Just got 84% on just the one entry. Fingers crossed.
Woa so many people doing this quiz! Wondering if my 74/100 will get me any sweet prize! 😉
80%!!
84%! BOOM!
OK, I give in – that elusive last answer has defeated me. Time to get some sleep and then its up early to queue at Mr Job’s door like the sad geek I am.
Argh! So close yet soooo far, I am a miserable failure by a measely 6% aka 14/19…PANTS! THough on the bright side I’ve found a bunch of older articles I have to read! 🙂
Woot, got 84% on mine 🙂
Interesting quiz works best for people who follows Mr. Bloom, figure out some answers according to Philip’s passionate character towards his work.
Thank you for putting this on, love to have and use one of the prizes, they are all quality!
84%!
got 70% earlier, but figuring out that 80%+ was tricky. learned a lot. Now on with the prizes, hopefully. 🙂
Passed. 84.21% – 16 of 19. I feel creepy now.
lololololo got a 0/19
Hmm, got there eventually.
Hope it registered as it conked out on me three times with a no question error.
89% aint bad.
04.05am here in The Netherlands, think I’ve to go to bed and quit… damn that quiz is hard… I’ll give up 🙁
10 Million…Jesus man, can you wrap your head around that?? That’s crazy. I remember coming across your iWeb blog a few years ago when I was shapping for a Letus and have tried to keep up ever since. I hope you feel proud of yourself. You’ve really inspired a lot of people and have been one of the thought leaders that have changed, for the better, how we tell stories. Viva La Bloom. Congrats.
You are the best as always 🙂 Congratulations on so many visitors, it’s a truly helpful blog you have built here. Thank you, Philip.
Took me a couple tries but I finally got it, no rules against trying multiple times right? One question was eluding me, I can’t wait to find out what the answers are, i’m a bit stumped on a few of those but I don’t know which ones.
wow.. took 5 tries to pass.. some answers aren’t on the blog really.. 🙁
Dang, I got 2 out of 19. I wish there were more questions about technical or film-related subjects instead of cat names and stuff. My brainpan only has space for like four cat names, and I can only remember three of them as it is. Codecs or framerates would have been a lot easier.
Anyway, congrats on 10 million.
OT: Do you accept prototype hardware mail for feasibility testing?
Yeah …passed…
cant wait to see where i was wrong
Well I forgot to say “Thank You” to all the contributors
with their products and support, This was fun, but I hope the 80% score to win a prize can be lowered to 50% since I’m new to the Bloom marketing campaign and social media driven style marketing.
Seems a bit unfair, but I’m not here to complain,
I just want to wan a free prize.
🙂
Honesty never hurts, unless you make it sound cheesy!
want to make people work for the prizes!
Yeah I agree.. I have been following since a year.. still I spent like 3 hours, 5 tries to pass.. I really wanted to give up since searching and looking each post wasn’t working for me.. I sat down and analysed which were incorrect answers and tried harder on the 5th go.. I am too unlucky on these lottery things but I wanted to participate. If it was only one prize then it should have been set to 100%. 😀
I still don’t know answers to 3 questions. 🙁
You definitely achieved that goal.
My tries were countless, but I succeeded in the End.
Was Fun though.
Thank you for this!
16/19.
cool competition,thanks Phillip.
Took me a couple of times to pass! Looking forward to see all the correct answers 🙂
Greetings from Finland! Check out our music videos shot on the 5D at my website!
This is very VERY kind from your part (and your partners), that makes people want to participate even more with your blog.
Oh, and congratulations for this 10M visits!!
Are you planning on reviewing the Letus viewfinder? Interested to see how it compares to the Z-Finder. Prices are pretty similar.
Thanks Philip for everything you do, for inspiring and helping so many of us!
It just goes to show how everything you do for us is great, having nearly had 10 million visitors!
Personally, I was recently linked to you by a friend, and now I follow you on twitter and read almost every blog post etc that you post; which are always fun/helpful!
Thanks!
…also, the best I’ve got is 17/19, (89%) 😀
thats pretty bloody good!
Got stuck after the 4th question! 🙂 I’m fairly new to Bloom as well. Great website, wish I had more time to search through and find the answers.
Good luck!
come on! you can do it!
It took me ages to figure out the right answers 😀
finally got 16 out of 19.
I hope you will reveal the correct answers after the quiz has finished 😉
I’ve just spent all morning doing it!
Kept getting stuck around 14 correct and just going round in circles. Finally passed with 17 right 89/100 and printed the certificate – how sad is that?
Thanks!
When is the contest over?
Probably when we reach 10,000,000 (see the counter at the bottom of the page)
exactly!
Great idea, Philip! Good fun.
those are fantastic prizes Philip and good thinking with doing the quiz. Make them people work for it instead of just seeing who gets the lucky clicks.
Hi Phillip
i got my certificate
it says PASS but i “only” have 79%
I’m in the final list to get any of these great prices?
How are you going to distribute all that gifts?? i mean, witch is going to be your “criteria”
Thanks and congratulations
i will do a live draw…come on get over 80%!
Yeah! but why the certificate says “PASS”
maybe 79% is the same than 80% for the quiz brain… i dont know!
What should i do? can i do it again?
Think that the first ones to answer the quiz didn’t get any clues!!!!
thanks
you can do it again…dont know why it said pass. it must have rounded it up
After about 1000 tries I finally made the 80% cutoff. After all those tries I sure hope I’m still eligible for prizes.
By the way…
I have recently found this blog as a recommendation through my Google reader. It is by far my favorite to read.
Philip, you are great and I am always excited to read your posts.
thanks so much David….good luck in the draw!
No prob. I appreciate the luck.
I use some of the cool info and reviews you provide to help the small college I am an instructor at to make decisions on purchases and such.
Loved the camera shootout so far.
Hi Philip,
I started following you only at the beginning of the year so I had a hard time to get 80% but the quiz is very interesting (and prizes too), congratulations.
Wow that was hard, but I managed 17 out of 19 (89%) and learned loads of stuff, like how set up timelapses properly while browsing through the blog. Was definitely time well spent. I’m so proud of my certificate I tweeted it 😀
Also discovered a Top Tenuous link to Phillip!! The company I was working for last year bought Mark Dawson’s (LondonMarkFilms) XDCAM HD F350. Mark made a very nice film at Dungeness with it when Phillip filmed Return to Dungeness there. My boss was well pleased with the price he got the camera for. And I spent most of last summer shooting with it.
Anyone else got any Top Tenuous links to Phillip?!
!
Been busy with the quiz for over one and a half hour. After question 19, it says ““The question does not exist for the quiz” and then….nothing at all.. no score…no closing statements…just dead end, it seemes.
Don’t know what happened with the results?
it must have crashed sorry. I warn people better to use website full screen button than use flash…try again…you will get a result!
Epic fail! LMAO
Sorry…won’t try again. But at least I know your dad’s name, your date of birth, your social security number, your eating disorder, how often you pick your noise and what kind of dirty movies you watch…;)
Hey Philip, just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to share your work and knowledge with the world. And, thank you for setting up this contest. It took me a while to figure out what cameras you’ve owned, but I finally passed with an 84%! Keep up the great work!
Woohoo – after several attempts, I finally passed! Got stuck on #2 in particular – you might want to check your facts on this one – I found a different “right” answer – right in your blog. Anyway, congrats on your 10 millionth!
the key is bought…got first one in April…was a Zacuto loan…but when did I buy first one?
From your blog…
“Obviously the key thing for me this year was the Canon 5DmkII, although it was released in late 2008 I bought mine at the end of <>…”
but received it…i was in Hawaii so took time to get to me…
So hard my exam are coming i havn’t the time to search every answer but i’ll prepare for 20 milion visit competion
Finally after 5 tries I got 84% whooo! I’m entered in the draw even if I failed before using the same email right? Let me tell you Bloom you had some damn tough questions that I was only “slightly wrong” about, like your 5DMK2 purchase date, it took me a while to see my mistakes.
Hey Philip,
You FORGOT to throw in a few of your 5D and 7D, DVD’s into the pot.
Wow, that was a tough quiz but I finally got it. Now we wait.
Wow, I’ve tried it twice and have only gotten 10 out of 19 both times. I feel good that I’m not a stalker, but feel bad I can’t get into to drawing. How many times can you try?
Phew, took me a few times to get more than 15 right! Question 2 threw me off for ages.
Anyway, 10 Million visitors! What an achievement!
17 out of 19
wohoo
That was great fun. Took me many tries to get over the limit, but finally made it. Well worth the time, as I discovered a number of interesting older posts on your blog while searching for the answers.
Finally got 16 right.
Great to see a fellow ex-Sky (and Twickenham!) guy ‘givin it large’ in the big wide world.
Yours is a great site, Philip – in fact, pretty much the ‘Go To’ site for this DSLR revolution. And 10 million visitors – wow!
I’m an editor who’s always hankered after getting in at the other end of the process (then I can’t blame anyone else for not getting that wide/tight/mid-shot) and I’m finally going to get around to it.
I see a 5D on the horizon.
Keep up the great work my man!
Cheers.
That was tough, took me 4 attempts but I have only known about the site for 1 month! 16 out of 19 was final score, pretty sure I messed up the Brevin 35mm question and the ‘cameraman friend’. Not sure which other one.
Have to say for us new to the site this was a great way to read through some of your old articles, I never realised you had posted so much great info.
Purchased my 7D today so would love one of this items to help out with the new kit!
Keep up the great work.
Fairly new to the blog but enjoy all the knowledge and insite you have!
I’m stuck at 13 correct… bah!
Woot!
Philip,
100% yow!
Thanks for putting this up and drawing more people to DSLR’s.
Kudo’s to your vendor partners as well for passing along all the great items.
Says alot about them as well.
I sense a Zoom H4n is on the horizon too! (One can hope!)
Cheers
Phil, thanks for being such an inspiration! I have learned so much from your blog, I am in awe of your body of work, and I hope that fact that this is my first post will not penalize me in your selection of prize-winners. I promise to contribute more to the conversation!
thanks Andrew
I think question 3 is broken, please confirm
try doing it by clicking on full screen
Having issues with the quiz. Said “this answer is not found on the quiz” or something to that effect. HELP!!! lol
J
try clicking full screen and do it through their website
100%!
Guess I’m a definitive Bloom fan. You should do a special separate lottery among “100% fanatics” like me 😀
Thank you again Philip for all your posts on this blog and especially for your incredible ability to answer all those emails with tons of questions.
blimey well done! not easy to get 100%!
Mmm…Have I wrote something wrong or some spoilers?
“Your comment is awaiting moderation” – seeing this for about 12 hours now
nope. I run the site on my own and I have manually approve everything in any bit of free time I can find.
Gotta say this is the most generous blog contest I’ve ever come across on the web. So many wonderful goodies! Many thanks to the sponsors. Hello, Canon! 😉
god… after 13 answers, it cracks! :((( ok i will try again tomorrow
Congrats on the trend Philip and cheers for a chance to win some goodies! Also do Greenpeace work myself, will be in the Arctic again this summer and taking the 5D along.
nice!!
16 out of 19! Can´t wait for draw, I would have a use for any of the prices 😉
Hey Phil,
Will my entry be in the running if I have taken multiple attempts using the same email to achieve the 80%?
PS – Thank you for providing such a wonderful resource and forum, it is great to have someone who is willing to share their work and knowledge in an industry that is often ambiguous. I have found your site to be an invaluable resource and a source of inspiration.
All the best, Ryan
Cheers Ryan. Multiple entries are fine, you only get entered in for one pass.
Tough & fun quiz Philip, and a great audience engagement idea. Took several tries, but I finally passed with an 84. Congrats in advance on your 10m milestone!
nice one David
after we get over 80%, is there anything else that we have to do to be in the draw? Like send you the certificate? Thanks for the competition!
Nope. Just keep your fingers crossed!
Am I automatically entered into the draw once I complete and pass the quiz? Or do I have to do something else?
anyone who gets 80% of more goes into the drawer. You don’t need to do anything.
YES! 84% finally! I don’t know how many times I took that thing, but I know more than I should about you Philip.
Let me say congrats on the 10 mill, and also thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge freely. I’ve learned a ton from your site and instructional videos.
So far I’ve sold my Leica and have a 35mm M lens up for sale all to purchase a 5D (still wish you would have bought it even though you can’t use it;).
i think its gonna be more like a few months than a few weeks to get to 10,000,000.. half a million hits left and according to the stats about 5,000 average per day..
damn.. probably even less chance of winning anything! 🙂
not sure where you get your stats from Manus! Getting around 50-80,000 hits a day…we hit 9 million less than 2 weeks ago.
oh ok.. the red button on the left side used to show some stats but no longer.. must have been looking at the wrong numbers..
site hit 9 million on the 20th May..i don’t think there is long to wait.
I feel like a mix between a stalker and a student taking final exams.
new prizes just keep making this better
Over 80%!! Finally!
Fairly new to your site and got to learn whole lot about you and your work through this test!
Great site! And looking forward to learning more from your postings!
And congrats on 10M!
well done Sam
Hey Philip,
will the winners get informed via email or have we all to push continuously F5 to don`t miss the live streaming? 😉
u will get email
just wondering if the winners get to choose their prize, or if you’ll be choosing for them…
i choose them and if they don’t want them i will do redraw. Otherwise everyone will ask for the Cineslider or the Rebel!
hey Phillip
you should have the prizes also be random, like when you pick a name that’s a winner you should also have a hat on the side with all the prizes in it and pick one randomly also
thanks for this amazingg contest bro 🙂
That would be amazing.. haha unlike traditional lottery draws!
That was worthwhile…. Now I know your Cats and Fathers names. Maybe my time would be better spent shooting with what I have instead of dreaming about what I haven’t 🙂
I’m surprised there’s no manfrotto prize available?
After all I bought my first Manfrotto pro tripod based on your suggestion (and I love it, thanks) after many views of your site 🙂
i have no manfrotto contacts! if manfrotto are reading this and want to donate…
Or if Garett Brown is reading this… a Merlin Steadycam…incl. vest…
OK, stopp dreaming, raco.
If Garrett Brown is reading Steadicam misspelled (and his own name BTW)… :-p
A real rig like the Pilot would be nice, but that’s my dreaming.
Oh wait, I have a contact at Tiffen/Steadicam…
By the way I wrote my contact an e-Mail right after my last posting, but I’m afraid it’s too late for that, only 100k clicks left for lots of trigger happy clickers… Sorry I haven’t thought about this earlier 🙁
I have bought almost everything from recommendation from Philip too. 🙂 7D, zacuto V2, Glidetrack Shooter, 17-55mm f2.8 and just today received my 35mm 1.4L. Can’t wait to do some tests at low light. Next in line is 70-200mm 2.8L but thats way too far at the moment. I need a glidecam now for supersmooth on th run footage.
Oh forgot to mention Rode Videomic and also received just today zoom h4n. 😀 Wow, looks like I am fully equipped now. Thanks Philip. 🙂
whether or not i win anything, this has certainly been fun.
cool contest, cool site. has recently moved into my top 10 most frequented sites since discovering it a few months ago. content for people using or interested in using DSLRs is invaluable.
Long time lurker, just registered.
Just wanted to thank you for opening my eyes to the world of DSLR video, and curse you for all the extra expenses it has brought along 😉
ps. The Letus VF looks wicked. CARBON FIBER BABY!!! Hope I win
Score: 5 out of 100. that proves I only heard of PBloom two weeks ago, bought his video about using my 7D,think he’s a cool guy with good tips…and that I better start reading his blogs before I take another test!
indeed it proves you need to do some research!! 🙂
Good stuff, Philip!
I had to take it 3 times before I got 89%, is this OK? Am I still entered?
yep. you are
Done it. 84/100 after numerous tries and quiz crashes. Does meetups has caused me too much trouble. See you at 10mil!
Cheers
Whoooo, got an 84% now all I can do is hope. Thanks Philip for the contest.
After several attempts, I finally passed the quiz. Thanks for the chance! Enjoy your blog. Happy Memorial Day.
Woo-Hoo! 89%! That was fun, Philip. Thanks for putting so much fantastic content online. I’m looking forward to meeting you at the Filmmaker’s Intensive in June.
Dam some of those were really tricky, but I just managed to pass!
I got 80%.
congrats on 10M!
Finally! 16 of 20 (80%)
Last question is a funny one. 🙂
Awesome, I’ve just seen the help video and new question which got me to 95% 😀
Just one question wrong! I just don’t know which one!
question 3 was wrong..More than one answer, hence the word “cameras” 🙂
I feel like a bit of an idiot now haha – that must have caught a few people out!
I didn’t realise I could pick more than one… by more than one answer I thought I could pick one of the three and they would all be right… never mind…
Finally got it though, sorry for doing the quiz about a million times too!
I can finally rest now…
100% 😀
Total envy Jonnywb 😀 I got 85% tho still I’d love to figure out answers to three questions i was wrong about… I will reach 100% too, that’s just pure ambition 😉
Did anyone have chance to try this new Letus DSLR viewfinder? Is it better then Zacuto version?
Great competition! Took me a while to answer them all, but i got 16 out of 20 :). Great prices!
Aaaah ! I’ve finally got 100% !!
So, now we know you so much Philip, when do you come to Paris for a meet up ?:)
And thanks for this quizz.
Wow, 95% Not bad. Don’t know what I had wrong. May be the “Which Cameras did I own” thingy…
Now good luck to everyone who entered…
Wow, that kept me busy for a while, looks like I did okay though =) 90%!.
It was actually awesome, flicking through all those old blog posts, some interesting reads there!
Here’s hoping!
*fingers crossed*
Phil, I didn’t realize you added one more question. I have retaken the test and did 85%, but the ProProfs website still shows 74% only 🙁
Took me whole day to figure some of the answers out – eventually managed 🙂 Seems Im not such a big fan I thought… heh sorry – just have terrible memory when it comes to names 🙂 Congrats on 10 mil 🙂
Wouhouu!! 😀 after trying n times the test, finally got those 80% required!
You know what’s cool about this quizz? It’s that you discover so many posts/videos you didn’t notice before…
Some questions are still bugging me…. I’ll continue my researches :p
I got 90% weee!
Seems like people are finding it pretty hard to get 100% without tons of tries, I feel creepy…
Passed on my 3rd try! I was only one question away. Very excited for the draw.
Thank you so much for giving something back to your fans and admirers Philip!

Hey Philip, curious, how many correct entries till now?
oh about 300
Would it be possible to see a list of all the contestants?
sorry no… privacy and all that! why do you want to?
Just to ensure that they have been entered in the draw, but its not that big of a deal. 5000 views in 20min…looks like tomorrow is going to be the last day to enter!
Passed! 🙂 Fingers Crossed. Thanks Phillip to make this happen. Great Prizes.
Finally passed with 80% exactly! Took me a few days but I finally got there. I can’t wait for the drawing, there seem to be more and more awesome prizes added daily. Thanks again Philip for all you are doing for DSLR filmmaking, and giving us these resources we can use to go out and further expand the DSLR canon of films.
Cheers!
Well, it took me about as many tries as you’ve had visitors, but I finally passed!
Congrats on 10 mil Phil! (see what I did there?)
– Andrew W.
Argh! Browser crashed on “Your certificate”… Guess I need to answer the questions again ??
Philip,
Great contest, definitely worth the effort to enter!
Love to see Lucasfilm offer “A Day at Skywalker Ranch” … just kiddin’, but I’d still love to see it (Rick if you’re reading). 😉

Yesss go it 100%! It took me bloody hours and makes me go to bed far too late… nightshifts etc etc. But tonight the perfect score. Mr. Bloom you made it a hard quiz.
well done!
16/20 80% I could swear I had a 100% but probably had a few typos which killed my score. Anyway good luck to everyone. Sure learned a thing or two!
Finally! 85%! I can sleep now!
Yay, finally passed! Felt fidgety like taking a test in school… and I was hoping for a big bold “Pass!” written personally by Professor Bloom with a scratch and sniff smiley sticker… ah, well, a girl can hope 🙂
what would you want it smell of though? Actually don’t answer that!
That was fun! Have been reading the blog for ages, but still had to go back a couple of times for some of them.
Congrats on making the 10,000,000 Philip! Here’s to another 10,000,000 ;D
