It’s that time of year again and the rich man’s NAB (Amsterdam is SOOO much more expensive than Vegas!) rolls around, and for the second year running I can make it (although some wicked shooting gigs popped up at the last minute, as they always do, so couldn’t do them!). I will also be for the first time at Photokina in Cologne Germany. Never done this show, and it only comes around once every two years, so great stuff!

I am working at both…at IBC the first time you can catch me is at the G-Tech stand (I am one of their ambassadors, they have given me robes, a hot wife and diplomatic immunity, it’s awesome!) I will be chatting about my work – the creative stuff, not the tech stuff – at hall 7, stand D.12. 3:30pm on Friday and 11:30am on Monday. It’s first come first served. No reservations, just turn up!

From Friday to Monday I will also be at the Kessler/ Zacuto stand on and off, so do pop over to say hello. The lovely Sarah Estela will be there too, so a super friendly smile is guaranteed!!

At the weekend, I will be talking at the Vitec stand 3 times a day. Once on getting the best out of your DSLR, then on choosing the right large sensor camcorder, and then about interview technique. I think all the places for my talks there have been snapped up as it’s free! But do register as there may be cancellations, and anyone who registers can watch the recordings of them. Click the below schedule to find out more…

Also on Saturday is the almost annual Amsterdam meet up…the second one at IBC and the 3rd I have hosted in Amsterdam. Gert Kracht has organised it, top man that Gert, and it’s a drinking and filming/ timelapse thingy with shooting challenges!! Read more about it by clicking the image below…it says DSLR meetup but ALL are welcome. We are not defined by our cameras!! I will most likely have the Blackmagic camera with me…It starts at 8PM and mine is a Hendricks and tonic with cucumber please!! These things really are a blast and are cracking networking!

Then a week later I will be in Cologne for my first ever visit to Photokina. I am going to be there for Canon, talking on the Canon stage about my work with the C300 twice a day at 115pm and 430pm. I will be talking about the Adidas Olympics viral, my Olly Knights doco and my “still in edit” Australian wilderness doco and of course answering questions.

There will be meet ups again I am sure, so stay tuned for more info here! I will update this page when I get them!

See you there!!
