He has put in a new type of ground glass, one with a more film like bokeh, but one that struggles more with smaller apertures. I don’t think this is something he plans on releasing, he just wanted me to play around with it to see what I thought. From what I understand it’s a lot less forgiving in certain situations and is not best used by someone with little or no 35mm adaptor experience. But until I give it a thorough going over it’s hard to comment on it at all.

I was going to do some test shooting today but the back focus was way out and I didn’t want to open her up outside and correct it (by moving the GG slightly towards the slr lens). It’s done now and I can tell you from my brief test in the kitchen tonight the Bokeh is actually really really nice.

I doubt I will get a chance to do another proper test with it until next weekend, just too busy. But it will be worth it!

Instead I went to see “Jumper”, it was pants. Such a shame. Want a great idea and it was a great book. Looked nice though

By the way good news. I now have two XDCAM EX1 cameras. I was paid for job by a client who bought two but only needed one so paid me with his spare. A bargain. Now I have one adaptor free camera and one with the Letus permanently mounted! By the way the client was not Sony!

[1

677,810,811,809
