Great article. Thank you so much. My question is about preparing this workflow for editors not using FCP

For example i am trying to push the 5D for specialized footage on a high end tv drama. But if the editors are working with AVIDs for example, what would be a good solution in order to supply them with usable footage.

If i use the above steps and end up with a beautiful sequence on my FCP timeline with sound synced at 23.98, can anyone suggest what would be a good format to export it at for editing systems other than FCP?

Am i loosing too much by doing the whole 30P->ProRES step etc etc.

Thanks in advance

Hey Philip..about that converting thing...I see it's really complicated process the way you do it...I'm not sure it's the same but it works for me pretty good: I found a small program - "Speed Video Converter", it does what you do but with just a few clicks..Supports multiple file formats and simply converts 30p itno 24p/20p/15p...without decreasing the speed! Not sure there's a version for Mac though;)Cheers

Very helpful to me, just converting 30p from Canon MarkII in 25fps.

Thanks Philip!

Never used Cinema Tools, but looks great.
