Please support this worthy cause, just in the UK one man dies from Prostate cancer EVERY HOUR. My grandfather died from it and my Uncle has it. Last year we raised just under £10,000 for The Prostate Cancer Charity through my team “Bloom ‘Tache”.

Anyone who donates £10 or more gets entered into an amazing gear draw too! HUGE PRIZES. Check it out here.

I will be doing Video blogs every few days charting the epic progress of my mo! Check back to this page to watch them.

    AMAZING MACRO TOO!

  6. Abe Duenas says:

I may be the only Mexican I know, that grows a Mo in patches, might have to pencil in a bit but will give it a go.

  7. Dan B. says:

    “What if small children scream?!”

That is a line, destined to echo through the halls of greatness, and eternity!

    Haha, I laugh everytime!

  8. Barry van Varik says:

Ok… I’m convinced. After a similar psychological struggle I decided to join. Count me in.

    Bye bye razor.

  9. how did you achieved that macro? wich lens you used?

great vídeo BTW, the quality was amazing… how did you light yourself?

    good luck!

    1. Muffin7 says:

Hey, since I see nobody has answered this question for you yet…

It’s the 100mm 2.8 Macro lens that Canon makes. Brilliant lens, my absolute favorite lens that I own, super sharp and fantastic macro shots. I fell in love the instant I put it on my camera.

There is an “L” version of this lens. I have found that there really isn’t THAT much of a difference. It’s hardly visible unless you’re pixel peeping the background blur. Non-L version is about half the price. Not sure which Bloom uses, but I’d wager it was the non-L (am I right?).

You can get one new for around 500 I think (non-L). I found one for 350 used. Best 350 I’ve ever spent.

      1. Muffin7 says:

Oh. I see I’m a bit late to the party. That’s what being in Wisconsin without internet for a month will do to you…

      2. Philip Bloom says:

Big difference between L and non L…IS..it makes the lens. I have the L.

  10. Jahan says:

Great Cause. Great Video. My tache is just like the one that appears on the art work above Philip’s video. Been on my face for over 25 years now!

  11. Ítalo Brito says:

Hey Philip, is it possible to share what kind of lights and what lenses did you use on your video?

    Looked awesome.

    1. Philip Bloom says:

      Thanks Italo.

      I used the Canon 10mm Macro F2.8 L IS, Canon 24mm F1.4L and a Litepanel 1×1 Bicolour.

  12. bill says:

Looks great. Does this mean a 60D review soon?

    1. Philip Bloom says:

only if you support the cause!

  13. I just got a Mohawk, does that count?within ten minutes of leaving the barber in the mall a woman pulled her daughter out of the way and said get out of the way of the scary man,ill shave it off in support no problem.

  14. Kieran says:

    Stay classy, Mr Bloom!

  15. bill says:

I think a ‘Lemmy’ would suit you. Also see eric bana in ‘Chopper’.

    1. Philip Bloom says:

      thinking about it…

    2. Muffin7 says:

YES! The Chopper ‘tache is the best. If bloom rocked that and maybe got some gold fronts for his teeth, he’d look amazing.

  16. Akira Wing says:

Go for a Lee Van Cleef ‘stache man I think it would look pretty badass on you.

  17. Cristina says:
