I think if the GH3 has no rolling shutter issues, then I'm all-in. Other than that though, I am happy with how my hacked GH2 preforms.

Same here it a shame about the EM-5 not having more frame rates. You think that the idiots at Olympus would add more feature so the company would sell more.

Its well known about the money problems that Olympus is having.

I'm hoping that they'll relent and make a firmware upgrade.

According to 43 Rumors, a Panasonic rep. said that the company want to lower the Megapixel count for video, but that would hurt stills and marketing won't let them. I'm sure that the AF-200 or whatever, will be much more exciting because as a devoted video camera it will be allowed less megapixels on the sensor so better low light performance and I can't imagine a GH3 being 2K resolution while no Panasonic camcorder goes that high. Really, GH2 is a great camera, but it's obvious to me that Panasonic doesn't want to ruin their camcorder market by making better and cheaper SLResque cameras.

Panasonic does not offer 2k other company will. 2k and 4j an 8k tv sets are this fall.

Ditto about the EM-5. Olympus makes me sad. When will these camera companies learn we hate 60i?? Listen to the consumers, we kinda know what will sell.

But really, I just got this camera. I haven't had it for a year yet. To jump ship immediately and get the next best thing that comes out... I'd rather wait for the next next best thing. It's good to stay up to date with technology, but kinda a sickness to absolutely have the newest gear all the time. Unless of course you have the money to toss around.

If they could give us 1080p overcranked I'd buy one just for that. Also I'd like a bigger/better OLED viewfinder, like the ones on the NEX.
Uncompressed 422 HDMI output would be brilliant too... then Panasonic would give Canon something to worry about.

Plus give us a headphone jack, and change the 2.5mm mic input to 3.5.

Oh and I almost forgot... make the thing out of materials that warrant the price-tag.

    Hopefully Panny read that :)

What I'd like to see in the GH3 (in order of importance to me):

    1. Much better dynamic range
    2. Better low light
    3. Improved rolling shutter performance

So, this may have already been asked, but I can't seem to find it, but how does the GH2 (hacked or not) stack up to Sony's Alpha a77. I shot mostly landscapes, people in landscapes and started doing A LOT of video work. I want to upgrade very soon and don't think I can wait to see the GH3 specs.

    [Updated!] NEX-7 vs. GH2 side-by-side video comparison Part 1 (FullHD 1080p25 version)

As you can see the Sony Nex 7 that has the same CMOS sensor as the A77 and A65 the 720p from the GH2 is sharper then Sony Nex 7 that is 1080p

Sony I would say is a better stills camera but the GH2 is better at video.

As for the 4th choice I am sure is there will be many hacks.
But first I want to see the specs...not the rumoured ones...the real specs...haha

If the GH3 uses a Sony sensor most likely will not be able to be hacked. All the cameras that use Sony sensors do not have hacks. And the guy that hacked the GH1 and GH2 said there is something about the Sony chips that you can not hack them.

Update someone is looking to hack Sony cameras this is good news as the GH3 might use a Sony sensor.

Keep in mind in three years of all the cameras that use Sony sensor no one camera was able to be hacked. Sony is very good at locking down hacks. It takes years to to hack a Playstation.

We do not know the specifications yet so we can only think about all these.

I'm proud of putting a good question and Panasonic heard..
    all-i seems another story...

all-i and ipb are the compression types, the codec is the same h264, sorry
