  1. Jeremy Dylan Chatty!

G'day, fellow residents of Sydney town.

I'm a 21-year old. Since 2007, I've been working in the country music industry, cutting tour TVCs for people like Taylor Swift, De La Soul and Tommy Emmanuel. More recently, I've been designing posters and print advertising for tours including Joe Nichols, Dierks Bentley and Lee Kernaghan.

I've dabbled in music videos, directing a handful of them over the past couple of years. One of my resolutions for 2012 was to do a lot more.

After a couple of shorts, I wrote and directed my first feature film in 2010 - Benjamin Sniddlegrass and the Cauldron of Penguins, featuring a Stephen Fry narrated prologue. I released this on DVD and digital download in the beginning of last year, and later an expurgated 'Producer's Cut' found its way on to YouTube.

Last year I traveled to the US to direct my first hour-long doco - The King of Broken Hearts, about the life and career of Americana swiss-army knife and two-time Grammy winner Jim Lauderdale. It'll premiere on the Country Music Channel on Tuesday 6 March @ 7pm.

I'm a 2011 AFTRS (Australian, Film, Television and Radio School) Screenwriting Graduate.

I cut all my own projects, DOP only if absolutely necessary (one man band operations) and until recently have written everything solo. I co-wrote a short last year and am currently co-writing a few projects.

I've also done a lot of behind the scenes web diaries for musicians I work with. You can check some of them out on my Vimeo page: http://vimeo.com/jeremydylan

So, that's me. And I'll be at Mr. Bloom's Sydney workshop, if anyone wants to say hello.

    Sydney residents - introduce yourselves!
  2. Jonathan Adams I'm new!

Hey Jeremy, I'm Jono from out west. I run a video production company, mainly doing corporate stuff but branching out into a bit of everything - although my main focus is and always has been narrative fiction. Had a quick look at your vimeo page, some good stuff there. Do you have more footage from Benjamin? Just saw some of the making of but would be good to get a look at how it turned out.

www.progressivepictures.com.au if anyone wants to take a look

    Cheers
  3. Jeremy Dylan Chatty!

Thanks Jonathan. You can have a gander at the Producer's Cut here:
It's quite confronting to look back on that now - work that I did almost two years ago. I like to think I've come on a bit since then.

I'm about to have a watch of your web series pilot.

Hey mate - I had a look. Its very watchable! Stellar work or 19. Only saw a few minutes then I had to re-load the page to log in...Stephen Fry...thats gold. Thats one of the best narration voices in the world in my opinion.

How did you go with the web series? The second episode is widely considered much better if you make it that far...

Had a look at the Jim Lauderdale one too...its all very slick stuff, you do good work.
