I'm shooting over the next 4 days and I think I'm going to go with AB Norm after my brief tests. It looks the "safest" to me while I get comfortable with this camera. I'll also potentially be using some 5d footage in the final and it looks like ABNorm will play well with Cinestyle.

    Hey James,
    Saw your new video:

Great atmosphere man - what profile was this?

CPF-LOG looks interesting. Will give it a try this weekend.

Shot this recently using Frank Glencairn's G-LOG A ver 1.0 and then graded in Apple Color - http://bit.ly/wwdRP8

Had a few issues where I had not got the exposure or light balance correct. I was piggybacking off a still shoot so time was limited. Live and learn as they say.
  5. Lino Palena I'm new!

Guys I just wanna give you an advice: If you take out the battery with the power on (I did accidentaly) you loose all your picture profile settings and you have to insert them again..
    Just a handy do-not tip!
    ;)

Shot this for a model's portfolio in AbelCine AB_Norm... it shows three different grades throughout the video.

You can input all the setting manually. You can then save the settings to a memory card.

    To input the profile settings:
    1: Press "Picture Profile"
2: Select the PP you'd like to edit. You have 6. Select settings and then adjust each setting according to the profile you want to create or follow someone else's settings.

A colour profile has now been set-up. Repeat for each profile.

3: Press "Menu" on the top of the camera
4: Scroll down to "Other" and select "Camera Profile" then select "Save"

That will save all the camera settings to the memory card. You can then load those settings again later by selecting "Load".

Note: Changing from PAL to NTSC will require the memory card being formatted and you will lose those settings.

If you look at the memory card on your computer you will see a new folder named "SONY" and inside it a folder called "SETTINGS" along with a file "SONYCARD.IND". Back-up the "SONY" folder as that contains all your settings.

To switch from ISO to GAIN (or the other way):
1: Press "Menu" on the top of the camera
2: Select "Camera Settings" then "GAIN/ISO SEL" then select the one you want.
    Done.

Thank you very much for your time,
on the option to change iso/db appears gray! And dosent let me change it.!!
Do you know what can i do?
  13. Adam Roberts Chatty!

Ok... Keep Calm... not need to shout. :)

The first menu item item in the "CAMERA SET" menu is "GAIN/ISO SEL". Is that greyed out? Or are you referring to the "GAIN SET", "ISO SET", "AGC LIMIT" and "AUTO ISO LIMIT"?

Once ISO is selected the GAIN options become grey and once GAIN is selected the ISO options become grey.

If your "GAIN/ISO SEL" menu item is grey then you might need to contact Sony as I can't seem to replicate that.

I would say try to re install it first but contact Sony and see what they say.
