Hi all, I'm an experienced Brazilian Still's photographer that started in cinematography recently. My girlfriend is moving to London for a on-year MA in Documentary Direction and I've decided I wanted a complete immersion in cinematography and filmmaking. I've been looking at the practical courses on the many London Filmmaking schools and it's not an easy decision without good real people recommendations. Some advice or real world experience would be great. I got specially interested in the 1 year Digital Cinematography course at MET Film School though I know NFTS has the best reputation but is too far away for someone living in London downtown as I will be. Thanks in advanced.
Hi Theo, I am sorry i can't be more help to you as I didn't go to film school here (I grew up in Sydney). Film Schools are and can be great, but they are not the be all and end all. Have you tried applying for internships with some production companies? This might be another avenue for you if you can't decide on an educational institution. Just something to think about...
