One of my Transcend class 6 memory cards makes a lot of trouble. Every time when I'm shooting footage suddenly all the files are gone although I never treat it the wrong way. I stopped working with with it immediately so I didn't overwrite any files. But now I'm searching for a free and trustable tool to recover the files on a Mac. A lot of the tools which are free don't let you safe the recovered files. Please help me to get my Ukraine footage back withput adding bugs to the Apple

Blanche, I'm having similar trouble at the moment. I've tried Handy Recovery - which worked in the past on a case of accidental CF card formatting before offloading footage.

This time around, in a case of random clusters of clips mysteriously disappearing from a Transcend 32 GB 400x CF shot with a Canon 5Dmk3, it found numerous files, none of which were the ones that just recently disappeared and only a few of which were recovered without corruption.

I then downloaded a trial Wondershare Photo Recovery which found 284 MOV clips, many of them looking suspiciously identical, but I could not do a trial recovery to see if it actually works without corrupting the files and did not want to spend the money on a possible no-go.

Then it was the Free (& VERY highly rated) Pandora recovery which did nothing. Now, I'm on the free (and highly rated) PC Inspector Smart Recovery, which is running very slowly.

Did you find anything that worked for your Mac?
