  1. Robby Wood Chatty!

Hi Guys. Hope someone can help.

I've just started a trial of all the creative cloud apps from Adobe of which i've installed on my iMac running the latest Lion update. I have created a project that I've filmed on a Canon 60D at 720p/60 and set my project timeline settings accordingly.

I've imported my clips successfully as well as a wav file from Vimeo Music Store.

I can place clips and audio onto the timeline but nothing plays. I can't playback audio or video in the source window, timeline or from the imported clips. Hitting the space bar or appropriate playback button yields no results.

    I'm stumped!!

    Any help greatly appreciated.

As an update to my previous post I have managed to get my graphics card (AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB) to work with Premiere, and it did for all of two minutes - I was able to hear audio, watch clips in the timeline and the source window, and then inexplicably it stopped working.

I have googled what seems like every variable of Premiere Pro, CS6, iMac, working, no playback, tearing hair out and I'm coming to the same sites over and over that can't explain why this has happened.

Does anyone on these boards use Premiere Pro, from the creative cloud suite with a 2011 27" iMac running Lion and a AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2048 MB graphics card?

I fail to see why one minute it can work and the next stop.

I concede defeat - back to FCPX.

It seems that you may be having a root user issue. Look around the adobe.com site for 'root user issue premiere cs6'.

    Hi,

I just got the same problem with PPro from the creative cloud. No matter which files, it won't playback. Just the same as you described.

Could you manage the problem yet???

Unfortunately not. All workarounds led to a dead end, so ultimately I deleted the trial and went back to FCPX.

I did a clean reinstall of mountain lion.

    Then everything worked just fine.

So i guess the software hear by softonic messed up something in my situation.
