    Hi guys.

I'd like to ask if anyone of you who owns the dollies is able to help with some tests so that interested parties can know what they need and buy the correct length.

Say maybe around 4 different lenses horizontally and vertically on the dolly, running from one end to the other.
If this could be done, it'd really be much appreciated.

I'm trying to scrimp and save for one.
I'm looking to purchase the 2' version (for the portability) around the end of the year or much earlier if I can.
If the 3' fits what I require, then I'll have no choice but to bring another support which equals to additional weight.

    Hopefully somebody replies.
    And thanks in advance !

i'm in the same boat. not sure which to buy. I'm probably only going to use one tripod when out on location so the traveller looks best for me, but i don't want to regret not getting the longer length version.
    any tips?

    Hi Mike.
I've still yet to purchase from Kessler Cranes as it's still out of range of my personal expenditure.
Pondering over sliders and viewing the site stirred this in my thoughts...

    1) Portability - 2'
    2) Not traveling overseas and require length - ShuttlePod with Kessler Crane

Option 2 is nice if you are planning to get a crane which will be able to double up as a really long slider.

It'd still be nice if anyone could post videos to help purchase selection.
    Any kind soul ? ^^

I have the 3 ft. Stealth, very similar to the 3 ft. PB pocket dolly. I went through the same questions.

I use it on a Kessler Hercules 2.0 head and the slider is mounted on a Manfrotto 546B tripod: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=683565&Q=&is=REG&A=details

Camera is a Canon 5D Mark III with a variety of lenses.

For many moves the 546B can support the Stealth (or a PB 3 ft. pocket dolly) with no additional support. The 3 ft. slider is mounted at the mid-point so there's only 1.5 ft on either side of the tripod. The tripod legs can be spread to give greater stability. If needed a simple light stand or even a monopod can be used for an additional support, but I haven't often needed it.

I think the 2 ft. product is good, and if you absolutely need air-travel capability it's OK. Personally I like the additional 1 ft. of length.

Both Stealth and PB Pocket Dolly are great products. The variable-resistance brake is important, and present on both products.

You can easily stabilize either of these or even much longer sliders with the tripod in the middle and then cheap monopods that you can buy on amazon for less than $15 each. It works great and they are light and cheap. I don't know why people use light stands or additional tripods when cheap monopods work just as well and are lighter and super fast to set up. I even use them with a my 6 foot timelapse setup.

In terms of length if you don't sepecifically need the shorter size for travel I would choose the longer one.

After fighting the whole 'slider on a tripod' thing, I relented and got two cheapish lighting stands and put the slider on that, plus a 701 head. Two supports either end really does help, and the added security and comfort means I get the shot right, faster.

It makes the tripod bag a bit full (add thing for holding lastolite reflector, a modular LED lamp, batts and chargers, and even a spider dolly now and again), but it will still 'fly'.

BTW, this is NOT with a PB Dolly. ;)
