How would you connect the BMCC to a monitor for playback from the camera? Is there a Thunderbolt to HDMI cable, or do you have to use something else?
  2. Michael Beck Chatty!

The thunderbolt is for connecting to a computer only. You can use it to monitor on the computer, or for scopes, or for capture, but you cannot convert it to HDMI or anything else.

Of you want to monitor you have to use SDI. You could use an SDI-HDMI converter, but that introduces a little lag, and adds more junk to your rig.

So the only way to have playback from the camera on a monitor is to use the SDI-HDMI?

Yes, you have to ether have an SDI monitor, or convert it to HDMI with another box.
    Ryan Lensman likes this.

    Thank you very much!

Not sure if anyone can answer this, but is there anyway efficient way of powering the camera via NP-1's? Particularly IDX NP-1 L7S batteries?
