seems like a difficult exposure situation with all the reflection on water but your exposure is spot on in every shot. nice work sensei.
Very nice. The tilt-focus shot with the man sitting on the rock is great.
Very effective to have most of the video consist of landscape, and then people suddenly pop out of the background like that at the end. Your videos always remind me that shallow depth of field isn’t just about a classy look, it’s an important storytelling tool.
I hope you get a chance to shoot some scenic,s along the Napali coast. It is well worth the hike. Last time i was there, all i had was a Bolex and a Sony PD 170 in a back pack. Everywhere i looked were visual wonders. Funny how we film makers see the world. Don,t forget to bring yer rain gear .LOL

I have to disagree with Fred – to me the music doesn’t go with the place and the pictures, which is a first for the work that I’ve seen from you. The music is too depressed to go with the beauty of the place and the flow of the water. Or maybe it’s just me

Next time I go to Kauai, I am definitely visiting the Queen’s bath! Funny I never went there, I spent quite a bit of time in Princeville…bought the white PUKA beater there, from a local Hawaiian guy…love this video!
