Following on from the success of the three previous workshops in London and Leeds, Philip Bloom is hosting another DSLR/Large Chip Camcorder masterclass in London at the amazing Electric Cinema in Portobello Road.

This is an interactive style seminar style where Philip will show you how to get the very best from your DSLRs when shooting video. Philip will also focus on the newer large sensor video camcorders including the C300 from Canon and the FS100 from Sony.

The day is not for total beginners so it’s worth checking out Philip’s beginner’s series of DSLR videos at:http://gopb.co/vimeoschool

Philip will cover: The Do’s and Don’t of DSLRs.  How to get past their eccentricities and image issues.  An in depth section on audio.  How to create great time lapses.  Analysis of a sequence from conception to shooting, lighting , sound design and editing.  Comparisons and hands on opportunities with the various large sensor camcorders and anything else we can squeeze in.

Workshop dates: 30.05.12
Time: 10.00 – 17.00
Venue: Electric Cinema, Portobello Road, London

Price: £110.00

  • I would absolutely love to go but Im still saving up for a 600D, im a child and I cant afford £110, a real shame. One day!!!

  • I would be very interested in this workshop if there is a chance you would be looking at some (or all!) of the following….

    1) Current high quality external Monitoring options (particularly for the Canon 7d)

    2) Image quality and lenses – things look pretty sharp in the LCD – but not so when I capture to edit, by comparison with say a Sony HDW-F900…

    3) Cheap portable jibs such as this – http://www.bargain-camera.com/store/ProAm-R-DVC50-4-Compact-Camera-Crane-Jib.html?page=1

Is there any mileage in them, or are they just not smooth enough..?

    4) And……… getting professionally useable footage using this kind of setup:-

Bit of a wish list I know – but I get a lot of great information from your site already, and you do seem to cover more of this ground than anyone else… (clearly the price of personal excellence is peopel asking endless questions…)
