Lots going on next week!! First off on Wednesday the 30th of May I will be doing my DSLR/ Large Sensor seminar workshop at the brilliant venue of The Electric Cinema in Notting Hill. Comfy leather armchairs and footrests. There is a handful of tickets left and for more details on the contents of the day and to buy tickets, click here.  Lots will be covered with a nice big section focusing more on the creativity aspect in the afternoon!!

I hope to see many of you there. It will be a full on day of learning in luxurious surroundings! 🙂

Then on Saturday the 2nd of June in New York I will doing a similar workshop but with smaller numbers and more of a focus on large sensor camcorders at Abel Cine. Pricing (including early bird discount) and description of content as well as booking info is here! lots of nice hands-on with a focus on creative aspects in the afternoon. This should be excellent and I am very proud to be doing my first workshop with Abelcine.

THEN on Friday and Saturday the 8th and 9th of June I will be at the Vimeo Festival and Awards. I judged the lyrical category and found a worthy winner indeed! Lips are sealed until then. On the 8th and 9th there are stacks of talks and screenings.

I will be doing a 2 and a half hour talk called “The right camera for the right job” on the Friday the 8th at 1:45pm. I’ll be taking a look at everything that is out there, and figuring out whether one camera is better than the other for certain jobs or whether  can you do them all with one. It’s a first come entry system and you can read about it here.

Loads of cameras to check out there courtesy of B&H!

Then on Saturday the 9th, alongside Mr. Vimeo himself Blake Whitman and the great Nick Campbell, I will doing a panel discussion on building your audience. Details below!

If you are interested in coming to the Vimeo awards it costs $60 for both days but I have negotiated a discount of 25% off for all my readers with the code “bloom” on the purchase tickets page here!
