We managed to beat some of the largest companies in the world, and it was all down to you, showing once again how generous the indie-film making community is! FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS!

3: Make sure the amount is at least £15 (roughly $25) You can donate more of course, but £15 is the minimum to qualify entry into the prize draw.

4: You can enter as many times as you want and as long as each donation is at least £15 you will get another entry for the prize draw. You do not need to send it again.

FILM COMPETITION

In the past I have done film competitions as well as prize draws, last year we didn’t have one but this year it’s back! Rather than two categories like last time it’s much simpler this time. Make a 60 second film that best promotes the Movember campaign. You can make it in any style you want with any camera you want. It can by funny, it can be serious, it can be both. It can be about men’s health, it can be about moustaches. It can be about the theme of “Motivation” that they are promoting this year, about getting fir…I leave it to you. The key thing is 60 seconds and if you use music make sure it is licensed please! The winner won’t be decided by views but a judging panel who will look at not just the technical aspects but very much the storytelling. So make it look good, sound good and make us laugh or cry!

Entries need to be made specifically for the compition and say so in the Vimeo description.

All films need to be uploaded by the 30th November by 1 minute to midnight GMT (I am sure you can work out what that is for you!) It’s open globally and there is no age limit. One thing you have to do is to donate £15 or more like the prize draw but when you forward the receipt as detailed above put “FILM COMPETITION ENTRY” in the email title. You will then be entered into the prize draw AND the film completion (as long as you submit your film of course!) only when I have the receipt will I allow your video to be visible in the Vimeo group. 

Unlike the prize draw where if you enter more than once you can only win one of the big prizes, if you enter the film completion you can win a big prize in both! The main prize is the amazing Letus Helix Jr Magnesium version, worth $2100! This is a fabulous stabiliser which I have used recently on The Wonder List in both Cuba and currently in Bhutan.
