I am doing a Canon HD-DSLR masterclass in LA on the 6th March, well in fact two. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. It’s being arranged by Neil Smith of RAWworks.
I will be doing a number of workshops across the USA and Europe (and hopefully further afield) throughout the year. I will try and make these all as hands on as possible. I will be putting more info on the content of this LA masterclass on this page over the next few days. You can book now by clicking here. Any suggestions are welcome on the blog post about this year’s classes.
There will also of course be an informal meet up like last time sometime during my time in LA. Looking at the Kodak Theatre on Sunday the 7th of March. Should be a good turnout for that one!!! (please do not turn up to this as it’s a joke!)

Don’t forget to get your entry made for the Can-Do Film Festival being arranged by RAWworks. This is a different competition to the “Beyond the Still” and is cross genre. I am a judge for both. Do enter both if you can, the prizes for both are excellent!

February 13, 2010 at 14:04If I’ve already bought the 7D DVD (and absorbed it fairly thoroughly), would I still benefit from coming to this workshop? By the way, I do live up an hour north of San Francisco!

February 13, 2010 at 14:48Are you planning a class in San Francisco this year?

February 13, 2010 at 19:31Phil, this masterclass sounds fantastic – have you thought about filming it and making it available for download, for a fee of course?
I’m in Tasmania (Australia) and the likelihood of getting to one of your masterclasses anytime soon is slim (unless you’re coming down under).

March 1, 2010 at 08:48Hi Philip. I love your blog. It’s a life changer.
I live in Amsterdam and was wondering if there’s going to be a masterclass close by… London perhaps? Though I’ll be happy to travel anywhere in Europe for it.. Thanks. Tal

March 1, 2010 at 21:45Oh no! I would have totally been into going to this but I found out too late. Too late to beg work to pay for it, haha! Is there a list of other classes currently scheduled? I guess I better keep a closer eye for the next one. You should visit Portland – you could do a “People of Portland” short. We definitely have our fair share of interesting characters.
