That’s a great idea, I can change out the carpet and have a different rug every week!

The Hoodman does not allow a complete amaphoric view of the LCD like the Zacuto, but still very useable. I did put velcro on the 5D’s LCD and on the Hoodman. You will have to remove the rubber skin on the Hoodman to get the velcro to stick, and use the sock method for the eyecup, as it is a hard rubber eyecup.

I had a Hoodman so I decided to make the best of it. I do not need the elastic bands to hold now that velcro is in place. Hoodman makes a strap for it as well.

Will probably get the Zacuto when all said and done.

!!! Steve, are you the kind of guy who buys 1 foot square samples of expensive carpet and stick them to your shoes so you don’t have to buy carpet for the whole house?!

I am going to try out that Hoodman 3.0 thingy for the 5d. Ordered one to give it a road test.

I recently cut off the toe on a black sock, rolled it over the rubber eye and it works well. Can not beat the price. Pictured here @ http://bit.ly/roadblog
